Self guided, cycling and walking tours of the Isle of Bute with a variety of routes to suit different abilities.
In 2016 the Scottish Ecological Design Association (SEDA) produced a series of maps entitled 'Urban Expeditions' which guided participants around ecological buildings and interventions. To compliment these maps SEDA are preparing an Island Expedition series starting with Bute.
To launch the map Archi Velo have been working with SEDA and the Bute Alliance to organise a cycling event on the 30th September 2017 when we will meet at 11:00 am under the Cabbie's Rest at Rothesay Harbour. Maps and light refreshments will be made available after which everybody will then be free to enjoy on the routes dependant on their ability.
The event is on public roads and cycle tracks so participants must exercise sound, mature judgement and be responsible for their own and others safety. It is your responsibility to carry out manoeuvres safely and adhere to the rules of the road. The event includes sections of A roads and we would recommend that you wear a helmet. Under 18's must be accompanied with a parent or guardian. Participants require to bring all their own equipment, pay for their own travel to Rothesay, refreshments will not include lunch.
